A Business Profiting From The Systematic Torture & Death of Animals

SeaQuest, The San Antonio Aquarium, The Austin Aquarium, The Houston Interactive Aquarium

Former Boise Aquarium & The Portland Aquarium

A chain of direct-contact aquariums and zoos designed to exploit wildlife for profit under the disguise of conservation and education built inside shopping malls across the USA owned by the Covino family, notorious wildlife traffickers. These aquariums are plagued by animal welfare issues, animal deaths, legal violations, and injuries to employees and the public from direct contact with animals. Each engaging in questionable use of charitable funds, and exhibits poor record keeping. Management and oversight of operations are substandard at best and employees/volunteers lack the basic knowledge needed to care for captive wild animals. The animals at these "torture facilities" live in small, inadequate enclosures while denied medical and primary care such as food and water in order to force daily public interactions. Leading to stress, illness, injuries, and the often death. Unsurprisingly the majority of these incidents go undocumented or reported.  Employees are tasked with discarding these dead animals, the Covinos view animals as commodities, or replaceable stock. The chain could care less about conservation or educating the public about the wildlife they capitalize on.

How many animals have perished as a result of the Covino's deliberate negligence?

It continues to be hit with neglect allegations, often from former employees; has an ever-growing list of U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) citations; and is notorious for exploiting animals for entertainment. Resulting in a relentless retaliation campaign from the company, spending millions annually on lawsuits.  Despite the Covino's criminal records and reputation, they continue to profit off animal abuse across the United States at their many facilities.

The egregious crimes committed by the Covino family, their blatant disregard for the law, and the absence of compassion and liability for the animals in their care should not be ignored or tolerated.
